Central CA, do not see this model too often and except for some damage to the finish on the top it doesn't look too bad. Hopefully someone can save it.

The wooden knob is not correct, it's about 3 years earlier. Hopefully it was just glued on for decoration. If it is actually controlling something (the dial) then there have been some serious modifications.

I've seen a few of those '40 12 tube Robot Dial mods that connected to the tuning mechanism. After the dial belt broke or slipped off it was a quick and dirty way to tune. Ends up ruining something.

Seems like an odd mix of a deco/streamlined/machine age dial on a Greek/neo classical cabinet but then that's Zenith for you.
