I stumbled on this online auction in Ohio of new boxed Zenith receivers, radios, parts, signs and advertising. Maybe of interest to some of ya'll.

With local pickup only, that stuff probably will not sell, but if it does, the TV related items won't go for much more than pennies on the dollar.

I can see gamers traveling a significant distance to get some of the related items though.

Gamers also ought to be all over those NOS color TV's, but there are just too many of them in one place.

Maybe there's a pallet of Trans-Oceanics hiding in there somewhere. :D

Merlin's Beard! :o

This reminds me so much of when i worked at the first TV shop. All the boxed Zenith TVs in the stock room.
How many I unboxed and sold, let alone repaired.

If I had a warehouse....

There's lots of stuff there that does have shipping as an option. Most of it is newer than what we normally discuss here, but for the transistor stereo receiver enthusiast there's quite a bit to choose from as well as plenty of CB radio stuff and a good selection of turntables.

Interesting ....

One thing i regret is ordering a 10 foot high building when I could have made it 16 foot. Then I would have plenty of room to create a second floor!

This tree is the only one which survived around the barn. It was dug up out of a friends garden. All others were purchased from a nursery.

I'd be willing to bet at least some of those NOS '70s/'80s tv sets will get to the gaming crowd.

Some really interesting Atari computer items listed. I remember when I was a kid my parents bought my brother an Atari 400 and a tape drive- he lusted endlessly for an Atari 800 and a floppy drive- and they have both in the auction.

Thanks for the photo Steve.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today.

Open boxes could mean factory defect returns . . . that Zenith didn't want back. Just sayin.

Of course there's a risk. The product is decades old and that Zenith no longer exists, so bid accordingly .....

Back in those days everything would have been repaired and billed back to the company. I worked for a Zenith retailer that was also an authorized service center, and Zenith would have insisted upon repairing anything that possibly could have been.

Open boxes probably indicate display models that were on the showroom floor. Dealers rotated those every few months and sold them to the customer for a slight discount, but with full factory warranty.

There's also the fact that the capacitors, especially the electrolytics, in these things are at or past the end of their life expectancy. Wouldn't surprise me if most if not all of them needed a re-cap.
