I have an oscilloscope clock I built in a OS-8C.

I operate a old automatic tester at work which has a Tektronix XY display which was originally used with what is called a digitizer and that piece was replaced by a tektronix digital scope.

I am using it to display the clock.

What I need is a way to turn off the built in display.

I have thought of using a very small transformer to power the clock board separately and adding a power switch to turn the built in display off with the main switch being used to turn the whole thing on and off, but there is very little space for any other transformer.

The other way is to switch the secondaries of the power transformer, but that may be complicated.

I'll post the schematic when I get home.

What's the best way to do it?
