Not bad at all. Is that with a fixed cap in parallel, or without?

That's with just the 10-360pf tuning cap, no trimmers.

One thing I was wondering about, since I haven't reattached the base. I usually see these box loop antennas sitting on a single corner, mounted to some sort of base, rather than sitting on a side. Is there a reason or does it just look a little more techie that way? It seems to me that mine picks up slightly better sitting on a side. I'm being careful to keep the same exact orientation.
