Hey there folks. It’s my first time coming around this forum, but I have run around on the Talking Machine Forum for several years. My latest project prompted help from a new source which couldn’t be found on the TMF. I’ve got a pair of RCA 245 amps, one from a junked RE-45, and a working one currently in my RE-75. Using the working one as a test platform, I’ve been trying to figure out how to use the 245 as a standalone amplifier, without modifying the electronics. I’ve figured everything out, including input, preamp circuit, and power, but I still am stumped on a few things. How to input sound, as there are three separate inputs directly from tubes in the Victor receiver unit (see attachments), and what filter choke to use to drive the non-field coil speaker I’ve chosen for it. Thanks in advance to anybody knowledgeable who can offer any some assistance.
