Here's another amp for 144-148MHz... I've noticed that sometimes real life gain is 2dB lower than LtSpice but still one should get a solid 0.5W out on 2 meters with 50mW of input power from this amplifier for you to connect to your local repeater or just have simplex fun. LtSpice showing a solid 0.9W and if the construction is just right then it should be achievable. The linearity is just enough for use in a 2m ssb transceiver, the 680 resistor in final may have to be increased by a few ohms for that.

If it's for FM, might as well go class C. And most have FM rigs that put out more power

Class C would give lower gain. SSB is still popular on 2 meters. It was designed for a ham. Building your own equipment is fun! I'm just letting everyone know that transistors like 2n2219A are useful in the VHF region! Impressive, isn't it?

Haha yes. Are such circuits like I posted above are of any use today? Homebrewing is a different kind of addiction.
