There was a "free" item table at Valley of the Moon ARC in Sonoma today.

I took this because I recognized the circuit board as a FAR Circuits version of the Kitchin Regen Receiver. Never saw such a large Japanese dial before. Made by Yamada, but sold by Lafayette and Radio Shack around 1960.

This deserves to be on a tube regen, like something from an Alfred Morgan book!

PS: Felt good to be at a real ham swap after nearly 2 years!

It was worth it for the dial.

I have a vague memory of seeing those in ads or catalogs. But maybe I'm thinking about a US made dial. The common Japanese import was the little "vernier dial" with three mounting holes and and a metal plate with a logging scale.
