This is a second post...
Back story... I had a response to my first "703" post from an ARF reader suggesting I contact NuTech in Hamilton, Ontario. I did so and they had one left, which I bought by mail-order... very helpful person on the phone; I recommend this company. The chip is now in my UK-made Ravensbourne II FM tuner and is working well.
Unfortunately, another ARF reply was likely fraudulent... after a couple of suspicious one-line emails (that did not pass the smell test!) I canceled the order (I had not paid anything.) I think there may be a thread on this person... no names, no pack drill!
Anyway, I still want one or two more 703's as spares to keep with the tuner (these things are alleged to be unreliable), so I am asking again.
Does anyone have an original 703 or an NTE703 copy? Must be the 6-wire "epoxy blob" version, not the 8 pin DIP that I think may be out there.
Please PM me.
Thanks,
Roger

Thanks for reply. I have emailed cei.
I'm not sure if the metal can types are direct substitutes... they should be.
Cheers,
Roger
