Don't think that knob is from FADA.

You could be right Bruce, I don't really know. They were on the Fada, a Model 148 by the schematic. It had no back and a crack on top. I had to redo some previous work which included replacing the dogbones. Kinda tight chassis underneath. At least troublesome for my hands and fingers.

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't that knob supposed to have a metal "spring" insert near the top of that hole so it could just be pressed onto a typical quarter inch "D" shaft? Maybe someone lost the spring and in an effort to keep the knob in use just drilled and tapped a hole and put in the insert that it currently has? Even if the other one is the same, don't discount the idea because I would have done that just for the sake of keeping it all alike.

Yea, I know, I'll slink back under my rock... :P

Those don't seem to be the correct knobs in the first place;

anbitet66 is spot on --some folks aren't too particular when it comes to setscrew placement after the fact --I see this quite a bit.
The knobs themselves seem to be a little oversized for that radio. The photo Fifties has posted look to be the correct knobs for this set.
There are smaller bullets available.
