 Post subject: Amperite 3A20--Help needed.

I found a NOS Amperite 3A20 in some tubes from an estate. I tried to research it on the web but not much help.
Any info. would be appreciated.

That is a current regulator ballast tube.
Not sure what its ratings are though, yet.

Regulates at 300 ma with voltage between 20 and 41.

The Ballast Tube Handbook.

It's also in Radio Electronics Master. This is a large book which came out every year and given by Distributers.

For someone who has a particular Jackson VTVM, a 3A20 tube is used in that unit.

Probably nothing else requires that tube.
