Hello all
I am in need of a Mallory type 716 vibrator or an equivalent substitute. It is for a Buick auto radio model 980650. any help would be much appreciated.

Radiart 5426 Mallory 56-P 007. There is the solid state ones must have the correct polarity .

This is a syncronous vibrator with no rectifier tube. Do you know if the solid state will work with that type of circuit?

If I remember correctly, the new solid state replacement vibrators will not work in place of the original synchronous vibrator without doing some circuit modifications as the new vibrators will need a rectifier added to the circuit. Harry

You are right Harry. A rectifier circuit would be required with a synchronous vibrator. I just thought some one came up with some new innovative device. Oh' well. Thanks for your response

I have the correct Radiart 5426. It is a synchronous vibrator with a oddball pin out designed mostly for Buick car radios and a few others.
