Got a question, I’m new to this hobby and was wondering,is there a chart I can download that has the replacement capacitor valves for the old caps? I want to know
What capacitor to replace the old paper caps with. I was told the values have changed. Why is that? Why did the values change?

Just get the closest available ilm cap rated at the same or higher voltage.

Some values are not common. For example 0.02uf is not common but 0.022 is. It is easier to find 0.047 instead of 0.05.

Remember, the old caps were +/-10% or even +/-20%. These different values arestill within tolerance and radios can normally tolerate a defferenc.

Check the suppliers on the right; they show what is common and they also are more likely to have some of the older standard values.
