This time it worked, except for the orientation. And when you click on it to enlarge it, the image is upside down.

I'll be darned, it DOES chop it off at 1200 - essentially, it automatically changed it to a JPG and reduced the size to 1200x800. Still much better.

Question about my avatar pic. I resized it to 100×100,but the image quality is terrible. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it's supposed to look?

Let's see what you started with....and tell us what other processing was done--eg contrast adjustment, sharpening, etc.

If it is the radio dial avatar that you are talking about, the image quality looks OK to me. I can easily read the numbers on the dial.

All I did was resize it. The original pic looked great on this phone screen, and the Lit Photo pic after resized. No sharpening, etc, unless their site or this one does something to it. I use the same site for resizing the pics in these threads,so I'm suprized. I guess there's nothing I can do about it anyway. It just looks very compressed on this screen.

Post the original, and let us play with it.

I sent two incase one looks better. I don't know if any compression is added, but I didn't add any. I actually like the second pic better. Another idea is to use my dedicated camera. Starting off with a better lens ,lighting, etc might help. I use the phone because sending the image from camera to this phone to upload is a pain.

what am I doing wrong that my uploaded images never end up able to be clicked on twice to be enlarged like the ones in this recent thread?

:) click bait. beach today walking my dog

my pict is edited for web, much lower res. compared to higher res like photos.. not needed online unless for downloading, etc.

1st photo is sized to 3160x2370, size is generic to photo.. happens to be adj to this size

click both.. and on 2nd pict? no enlarge on click

edit should have added - 2nd pict is 520x390

edit-many times

Are you saying that the second click doesn't work for you for high resolution pictures that you upload?

Dave, yes, If I upload say an image that is resized to be 1600 on the largest side, it will upload to show as 800 in the thread, but click on it and its only about 1000 on the largest side.
