It is solid state, and the first of it's kind.

I won't go into details, because it is still on the block, and I don't want you to outbid my thin wallet.

Thae radio isn't the point.

I already have 5 radios that do exactly the same thing, some do it better.

But it's beautiful, and historic, and 20 other reasons I can come up with to buy it!

I took 2 boat anchors weighing over 50 lbs. to a local auction recently, when I realized I had no time or experience to repair, 2 SX-43's that almost made me cry.

I haven't dated in years, I now fall in love with radios.

I talk to them when I'm playing them. If it's my 1957 Sonora, I might say, "I'm here to take you to the sock hop, Betty Lou! Put on some Du Wop and let's cut a rug!"

In the name of Tesla, Marconi and Armstrong, have mercy on me...

There are hundreds of millions of women you might enjoy being with. Yes, you will never be with 5,000 miles of most of them, but that still leaves hundreds of thousands or millions you do have a chance to meet......

This is spooky.

I went and looked for bad reviews on youtube to talk myself out of this, and the first one I pulled up had a southern guy doing a comparison with his modern hf radio against this one on a whip, outperforming the hf hooked up to a dipole.

"This here is one hot, hot, hot receiver!"

Dang it.

Before buying, calculate the time needed to fix it, and then consider the other radios you have.

Already did both.

There is absolutely no rational reason to buy this thing.
