Oh Lord... I just bought an vintage tektronix oscillloscope and I dont even know how to use it let alone restore it. Hangs head...but all the guys on the forum have one...and I love doing restorations...
Yes I snuck it into the house...yes it is hidden under my bench with a towel over it... :(

(ahem)

Two vintage Tektronix scopes that I have forgotten how to use, a Motorola Communications analyzer I got for free that lists for $2,000 on epay, a smaller Motorola analyzer, and much, much more.

I bought the first scope online, and was given the second.

Iirc, scopes are not hard to use, I just need to get the correct probes.

I wonder how the RF-B600 compares to the 3100?

-Steve

Not sure how they compare, very similar would be my guess.
My 3100 is a good performer on AM and SW using an external antenna but not so much using its built-in antennas compared to my RF-2200. It's nice to have a variable BFO on the 3100. Both are about equal on FM which have great performance on that band with the 2200 having a slight edge. Not familiar with a B600.

Thanks, Dave!

The 3100 arrived yesterday.

Was very. Impressed with the low noise floor.

It received as well as my other good radios, under poor conditions.

More testing to come.
