Well I took them so I guess the title is true, lol....

What radios would you have bought from these photos?

I wanted the Philco service desk station! I went back in the morning but it was gone. :(

I'd like to take home the Zenith Stereo but would expect a low price if the Left channel isn't there somewhere.

I'd like to know the model of the tombstone under the table in this 2nd pic.

Is that an Hawk-winged Silvertone in the 3rd pic? Did it find a buyer?

That is an RCA tombstone but I don't remember the model.
The last photo was a knight I believe. It was a huge pile of mold but I don't know if it sold.
Something about an X that took all his radios and put them outside for a few years. He got them back at least... :(

It is an RCA T9-10. If I had been able to be there, that would have tempted me but the veneer damage would probably keep me walking away from it.

Hey Kirk - Which would I buy?

I found this one interesting, though I would not have bought it:

And I might have purchased this - like I need another console - but the portion of the Tenite escutcheon that is missing around the dial would make me pass:

I guess I'm getting picky in my old age. :) I hope everyone who attended had a good time.

BTW, Kirk, a friend of mine bought the Philco service station. No, he did not buy it on my behalf - I wasn't interested. He was pretty excited about getting it.

I would've been very interested in that Stromberg-Carlson 160L.

Buy, from these photos? Probably not any of them, at least not for FMV, though that Stromberg console is very interesting and I’d always make room for a 15U269 Zenith but not for what they’re worth in the market. That little black Mantola is cool.

I saw in the other thread there were a few RCA metal tube era tombstones that looked interesting. Other than the seemingly near-constant veneer issues I always liked this generation of RCA sets; but with the R-73 and the 128 in the house (and not going anywhere anytime soon) there’s no point to bringing any more of those in. I have enough of that design language here already. Any more would be too much.

Ron,
I did not even notice the escutcheon. It was pretty chap though... Under $100.00

Rodney,
That is my radio, lol. Wish you were closer as I have no space for it at home.

Paul,
I felt sorta the same. I walked around and everything I saw was not up to standards. Anything that was super nice was quite expensive. I did make a few stupid purchases though just to be able to buy something, lol...

We saw that in our August swap meet, too. Radios have been selling high on eBay and people seem to be trying to cash in on the trend locally as well.

I also wish I was closer, Kirk!

Hello.
Would have loved to obtain the Mantola. Was it a 339-6L8?
Do you recall what the asking price was?
Regards.
David.

Weird,
Those first 10 photos are not supposed to be there. Those are all my things. As is the Mantola... I did not bring it to Kutztown as I kinda like it. I would not know what to ask, but I paid $170.00 for it 5 years ago.

:)

It must be some kind of an omen, ie donate the Mantola to the first Canadian that mentions it!
Regards.
David.

Some or us Canadians would have loved to be able to be at the meet.

Well,
is it quarantine? or just the time and travel distance?
I think we should start a fund for Kutztown. For all the people who want to come and cant because of $$. Each meet we can use the donations to bring someone to Kutztown.
Still an idea but I would love to see it happen.
We did it 2 years ago for a Philco Phorum member. It was a great time and we shipped him what he bought.

I am sorry you didn't get it too. I would have loved to see more. I wonder if anyone on here has another. Surely more than one has survived.

Thanks for posting, Kirk.
