I really thought this was going to be the year I finally make it to Kutztown but with the price of gas going sky high and the high price of hotel rooms being ridiculous Ill be staying home again.

On-site camping is free. (There…just saved you $300).

Drives me crazy when you are interested in an item and nobody is there, so you wait 10 minutes and nobody shows up. So you come back a half hour later and nobody is there still....Grrr.. It also drives me crazy when there are no prices on anything. It just wastes peoples time having to ask.

I try to always price my items and provide a means of contact if someone wants to talk with me. But yes, I'm often away from my table. It frustrates me too when someone doesn't have prices or is nowhere to be found.

Decided to be a buyer only, which could be dangerous.

I just reserved a table. This will be my first visit to Kutztown.
What's the story on camping? I gather I can show up on Thursday after noon, set up, and camp in my car in the parking lot Thursday and Friday nights?
What else do I need to know about local customs? The show ends at 4 PM on Saturday, but I imagine many leave before then?

Plenty of lawn around to pitch a tent if you so desire. Some people stay up late for the bonfire and to socialize. Sellers can show up on Thursday and they usually get the first dibs on other's items. Saturday it is pretty much over by noon. No local customs to worry about. Everyone is easy. Bring a tarp to cover your table up overnight. Stuff has gone missing before and it definitely isn't the locals sneaking in.

Many also head over to the Basin Street Hotel bar and restaurant for good food and socializing often with a good beer or two Thursday evening.
I too camp out in the back part of the parking area which is grassy. There are also hot showers as well. They cost around $3.50.
Food is available at "Just Grillin" in the adjacent food pavilion or you can wander over to the farmer's market for more choices.

Just Grillin’ does an excellent burger. But if you want a real special treat, the fried chicken from Neidemeyers inside the farmers market is to die for!

Jim, mark SUNDAY June 5 for Chelsea Michigan Fairgrounds.... the next Vintage Electronics "Fair" !!!! This year in tandem with the Chelsea Ham Fest ! Two shows combined .... just $5 admission 8am-4pm. Super cheap seller spaces too. Info will be posted soon here on the ARF and other locations. We are just finishing planning now. 2 pole barns, lots of outside flea market spaces, food vendor, seminars..... probably the biggest show in the Midwest this year. also a small sale at the MARC storage garage Sat, April 30 in my neighborhood (Plymouth, Mich) as part of our annual Yard Sale event.

And for dessert The Bag Lady pastries. Damn, her stuff is good. Really, a lot of the comestibles inside the market are quite good.
