I am sure that if you had asked Karen Carpenter, she would have said she was fine, too. Anorexia nervosa is a genuine and very serious, life threatening mental disorder. I am no particular fan of Celine Dion, I find her singing annoying, but you hate to see someone, anyone, come to this state and just waste away.

She's 51?! Yeah, I too thought she was at least 75. That's what excessive tanning does to you. And personally I could never get to the knob fast enough to change the station whenever one of her whiny songs came on.

Maybe, but my money is on mental disorders. Her "Stage daddy" husband had latched onto her when she was a pre-teen, and managed her entire life, really pretty creepy. He croaked a few years ago, so now she is middle-aged and has never had to deal with life herself. But she has enough money that no one will tell her no or that she had to do something different. Of course, she was a child star, which seems to be pretty much a formula for life failures.

You don't get that thin by just "dancing a lot" as she claims, unless you are dancing at Auschwitz. Dancers get great bodies and muscle development, she literally looks like she could keel over at any moment. They have to eat something, to be able to have enough energy to keep doing it. She might get that way from AIDS or something, cancer this advanced, she's not going out and doing stuff, she's in a hospital. She's been this way for a while now, you don't get to the point of wasting disease and then hang around for a few years.

I would agree that there is something more going on medically with her than "dropping a few pounds by dancing", as she claims. The picture looks like a woman in her mid 70's at least.

It really doesn't help that she seems to be wearing old church lady clothes too.

Prepping up for a horror movie starring role. "The Mummy's Bride" Well, that is no worse than the other comments on here.

She could actually be quite attractive, but she needs to put on some pounds. I always liked her song "My Heart Will Go On".

I have horrible memories that involves that song. It came out my first year of college and my job then was working in the produce department at a large grocery store. The PA system had that song playing at least 5-6 times a day, every day for probably 6 months. I found the song annoying when I heard it the first time but to hear it 100's of times? Yeah. Good times...

I never regarded that song as a love song, but rather as a tribute to the RMS Titanic.

Yes. Maybe she should've added more lyrics, like how its rusticles are so magnificent.

She definitely was at one time, if you could get past the caterwauling.

Now. Caterwauling could be applied to alot (if not most) of the modern pop singers. Really. That is why I go back a few decades for good female singers.

Very sad. I hope she gets treatment now that these images have been plastered all over the net.
Maybe they are fake images, who knows?
No doubt the person in these pics is very sick either from mental, physical, or drug issues.
Don't these people have doctors, dietitians, life coaches, etc? Sad to see.
