I didn't get the news until yesterday. One of the great guitar players and
singers has left us. I always liked his voice especially on 'the song 'the tips of my Fingers''.

He was an accomplished guitar picker, but only had that one major hit, I think. Most people know him from HeeHaw.
I don't know if there are recordings with him teamed up with Buck Owens but if not, shoulda been.

Roy was more than a country musician, here's a clip from "The Odd Couple" TV series where he plays Ernesto Lecuona's "MalagueƱa":

I'll never forget that. I remember my father being amazed watching it. If you watch various clips of him from the early days you see he was quite an amazing guitarist. RIP Roy.
