Ugh. All the After-Thanksgiving Disease of the Week movies are on all day today.
This one highlights the usual `girl dies of said disease and boy is inconsolable' plotline.

Takes place in the same 1959 timeframe as Heart & Souls (Robert Downey Jr 1993)
and has much of the same feel. Wedding had already been booked and paid for so
boy drafts his buddies/groomsman to sing at the funeral that would have been their
wedding - and have to keep trading leads because none of em can get all the way
thru it by themselves.

They chose to process the track (Hushabye - Mystics) so it has
1. all the in your face feel of being played over AM radio instead of
2. how it sounds on the LP on good equipment
since none of the kids who made the record a hit ever had any

Put headphones on and blast.

The one this morning was worse. It's a little boy who's daddy had already passed
from the same disease - and this time it's the mama who's inconsolable and does
the reverse with all her sisters - sisters-in-law and girlfriends singing as he passes
away in the hospital.

Bangles - Eternal Flame

Daddy had told the boy earlier that they were going to be together again before
they knew it - and that he'd be holding his hand from the other side til then.
So as the boy passes in the hospital a see-thru image of his father comes in and
they hold hands and then the mama holds his other hand and gives him a hug
from this side.

Kid passes away, a see-through image of him shows him getting out of bed and
walking off with his daddy into a fuzzy world only they can see - Mama looks up
like she can see them going away (like in Ghost with Patrick Swayze) and fades out.

Why they gotta trash on a perfectly good record and turn it into the finale to a
Disease of the Week movie I'll never know. Like the movie is weepy enough
already all by itself. Why they gotta add a insult to injury for? Now I gotta go
take a cold capsule before going out for lunch w the boys after their Black
Friday craziness they got up at 4 AM in the morning and stood in the rain for.

2 kinds of men/tape. Low Noise/Wide Range.
LN=kind. WR=abrasive. Engineers=same thing.
