Bob Dylan - Forever Young.

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true

Joan Baez had her 80th back in January. Phil Ochs wouod have turned 80 last December.

There was a time when people born in 1941, were older, but not old. Now they are. In July it will be fifty years since I started listening to radio seriously, the Hallicrafters S-120A. Not just shortwave, but local AM too. Fifty years before that it was 1921, which for a long time seemed like ancient history; more reently it's still old, but doesn't seem so far back.

Oh my gosh, Joan Baez, turning 80? I still have her albums that I bought in the 70s. But heck, I am 73 now. Time flies...

Joan's son Gabe should be turning 52 later this year, having been born shortly after Woodstock. He's just ten years younger than me.

Been a Dylan fan since my "awakening" in the mid 60's. At one time I knew all the words to Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands

Bob Dylan - Forever Young......
My daughter tasked me with picking the song for the father/daughter dance at her wedding reception. I spent many hours looking at and listening to suggestions before I settled on Forever Young by Bob Dylan. When I sent her the lyrics she was very pleased. Whenever I hear this song it brings back good memories.

Happy Birthday Bob!

B!onde on Blonde turns 55 on June 20th.

There's debate over who "The Girl from the North Country" actually is. One candidate is Wavy Gravy's wife, Bonnie Beecher, they knew each other in Minnesota.

For me it was Dylan before the Beatles, my older sister having one of his early albums, and Hollis Brown, he lived on the outskirts of town.
Favorite, maybe Visions of Johanna, but there are so many good song poems. He once said something like "if you can't sing it, it's a poem".
