From "Command Performance".

This is over the air from local a.m. station, not Bluetòoth.

Can anyone identify the players?

I know Santa was an actor named John, forgot last name.

That's Edgar Bergen with his ventriloquist dummy Charlie McCarthy, but I don't know who that is playing Santa.

Santa was played by British actor Charles Laughton. Laughton was in Mutiny on the Bounty, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Witness for the Prosecution, among other movies.

The entire show is on YouTube and it's the first Command Performance show to be broadcast in the US, from Christmas Eve 1942. Lots of major Hollywood stars were on that show. Usually it was broadcast via short wave or by transcription but this one was heard in the USA at Christmastime.

The part with Laughton, Bergen and McCarthy starts at about the 33-minute mark. You can use the link below.

Thank you, Sir! :D

It. Is interesting the broadcast is the same year as the radio!

Kind of spooky, actually!
