I also have a 7" Motorola bakelite table model (7VT5) <A HREF="http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/view_photo.php?full=1&set_albumName=Televisions&id=7VT5" TARGET=_blank>http://antiqueradios.com/gallery/view_photo.php?full=1&set_albumName=Televisions&id=7VT5</A> <P>I can't say if the fire hurt anything but it sounds like you have a bad vertical output tube or low B+ going to the tube. This set uses an unusual arrangement for achieving DC operating voltages by using various circuit elements as a voltage divider to supply other elements. You will need the schematic and a tube socket voltage chart.<P>Dave<P>------------------<BR>
