Anyone have a set with this surround or know of what it is from? I got it from a set that was trashed,rusted tube busted,case coming apart,etc about 25 years ago. The plastic surround was so neat I saved it. I want to make a shadow box for this banner behind it. But I thought if I could see or know what set it was from I might still have the knobs I could put with it. I don't remember much about it other than it was a wooden case. I may even have the surround upside down. It is plastic and covered the picture tube. It has brown painted around the trim,gold in the center and green closest to the tube. All I need is a picture of it or know the model of it so I could look it up in my photofacts. Thanks.

Crosley used that style surround on some early sets. It's surely not from a HaloLight.

Thanks for the replies. I did a search for a crosley and found this. I think it is the same one it is from. The best I remember it was a box similar to this. I don't remember the trim and I don't think I have it. But it can be a start. I want to make the face of it similar then make the sides a few inches wide. Just enough to give the surround and the banner room. I should have similar knobs and hopefully I can create something similar. It is suppose to be in sams 153 and I think I have that one so I will look tonight.




Here is a color shot of one similar. The surround of it is exactly like mine if I recall correctly. But I do know it was not from one like it. I would have remembered the radio and probably saved it all.
