Hi John.Sorry but i don't have anything listed in my rcc index books. i don't have every index book so it might be in my collection.(i do have book #1 upto the 70s). i might be able to get a scan of other index books in the future, good luck with that set. RonL

Hi Ron I found it in the RCA Vol. 2 TV book. For some reason, RCC didn't include that chassis.

Hi Ron. I managed to pick up a 1949 Canadian General Electric C2506. I was wondering if you would have the scans for this set ? The back is missing (as are the knobs) but the sticker on the inside of the cabinet says it covers models C2505 C2506 and C2509. It looks like it would be in the RCC #1 (as I see it on the index from the last set of schematics you sent me). The set looks identical to the U.S. version of the G.E. 506 here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=319161The sticker says: Canadian General Electric, Toronto, Ontario. 25 cycle, 117 volts, 1.3 amps. It has a 10BP4A picture tube that tests strong. I was a little surprised when I saw the ion trap around the neck of the tube as I thought that G.E. used the aluminized version of the 10FP4, as the G.E. 810 I picked up had the 10FP4 tube in it. They must have done the switch within a year or two. This set is also fairly light as some people have noted, as there is no transformer but a pair of selenium rectifiers. There are also a lot of capacitors on this thing. I will post some pics to the forum as to maybe see how much of a difference in filtering there is between the 60 cycle and 25 cycle versions of these sets. Thank-You again Tony

Hello Ron, You have been a great help. I have come across another Canadian set. This one is a 1949 Garod Model 12TZ (with Am-Fm radio). Early television has some info, but this being a uniquely Canadian set there is more filtering for being used on 25 Cycle. I see that it is also listed on the RCC Index 1950-51 (Supplement No. 1). That you had scanned for me, for the C2509 Canadian General Electric tv. Thank-You again, Tony
