This Hoffman is located in my town but they are asking $850. It is untested( at least they had heard not to try it)
I don't need it but they are supposed to be good quality sets from what I have read. Anyone know what it realistically worth?

A hundred would really be pushing it. That beautiful woodgrain pattern on the front of the cabinet is paint. Big consoles (entertainment centers) just aren't interesting. Craig

Assuming the CRT ain't bad (then it is junk/parts) lol off the 8 and the price would be realistic... assuming there's a market for it.

If there's no one interested then it will never sell....One way to brow beat Sellers that are a little closer to reality it to inform them that in most localities the fee for disposing of one of those is around $30 bucks and any money they are paid by someone that wants it is pure profit.

That TV is a long way from home. Hoffman was a regional west coast TV brand built in LA. It is my understanding that the yellow green tint of the front screen, marketed as Hoffman “easy vision”, was a result of surplus aircraft tinted plexiglass being used.

Thanks for the replies. I was already told by a friend $100 tops. Wanted to be sure it wasn't something as special as the seller thinks.
