I know it is just a show, and these guys are in it to make a buck. The one thing that always irks me is,.. they will go on and on about an item (how rare it is or unique "never even seen one before"). They have treasured since childhood and how badly they wanted it. Yet when they get a prime example, they will already have a buyer lined up even before they even make it back to headquarters. Please spare me the drama.

It's also all fake. Those places are seeded with finds before shooting, and the prices are made up to generate drama. Those two are actors, who don't sell anything.

Same deal with the various storage unit shows.

True. I'm a fan of the show, but I always say, the BS banter always makes me cringe. When they're acting interested with a seller ranting about their life story, the look on their faces is "just show us the loot, let us have it for half it's worth, and let us get the heck out of here!" :)
Yeah, I never get how dealers can find a rare gem, get excited about it, and then proceed to sell it. It is all TV fantasy. They don't even drive the truck far. It's trailered, they fly in, and then get into the truck for authenticity. They're both worth about $5 million a piece. That goes a long way in Iowa!

Oh, my gosh. When the assign a dollar value on the items that they have "found", I almost laugh out loud. What a joke!
