Hello All:

I have over the past 3 years I have been restoring, to a degree, console units for use in my mountain cabin and thoroughly love watching and listening to these gems of time. I hope I can get some needed items from the experts in this group. I am located in Raleigh, NC.

Gene

Ah, you just mssed the fall flea market for the Carolina Chapter of the AWA, in Jamestown NC last weekend. It's mostly antique radios, but there are a few TV collectors around.
I moved to Durham 2 years ago and am thrilled to find another TV enthusiast in the Triangle.

Really? I've been down here for two years and haven't seen a one. Raleigh didn't get a TV station until 1954, so I didn't expect any earlier sets to be around. The nearest station before that was in Greensboro, 75 miles away -- deep fringe for 1949.
CL here is extraordinarily quiet when it comes to old electronics (at least compared to Boston MA!)

Actually, I am not in Wake County but rather the Chatham County part of Apex. I have 6 acres near Jordan lake and all the surrounding properties for a couple of miles are 5+ acres due to the restrictions on development around the lake.
