Hi. Thanks for illustration. Do I adjust the wafers or the center tabs? They don't seem to have any effect. The center tubular insulator/spacer had about 25% missing so I made another using thin cardboard. The centering issue remained so I pulled out the cardboard and shimmed one side. Again, little if any effect...

Rotate the black disc magnets. I don't recall if they rotate if you twist the center post or not. I imagine they had special tool bad in the day that fit into the notches in the magnets. You might be able to rotate them with your fingers.

Okay, thank you. I'll attempt another adjustment. I did adjust all that I could and I have it pretty linear and centered. It's amazing how the adjustments interact with each other. Also, the way the wires come off the back of the tube socket can effect brightness and create shadows. Thanks again.

I finally finished the Predicta. I made a huge mistake, dropping and destroying the screen cover so I have to find a replacement which I did. That's what kept me from finishing it weeks ago. I only need to design the PHILCO logo and print on waterslide decal material. The picture is excellent and the sound is perfect. The TV has a NOS Sylvania picture tube which is brighter than my old one. However the old one actually looked pretty good after the electronic restoration.

I can watch the Predicta from satellite, PC, or PS3. I have the HDMI signals go to a switch, then to an HDMI to component converter then into a component to coaxial RF converter. I have a video player (software) where I can change the aspect ratio when watching from my PC.

Thanks for the help and tips.

NP

Looks great! That is my favorite Predicta, maybe I will find one some day. Sorry to hear about the cover but at least you found one!
