I have a Grundig 5295 Stereo table top radio that is in need of a new power transformer. The part number of the transformer in the unit is 9096-041-04 (best as I can make it out). One primary and 3 secondary windings. filament windings are fine, but I am getting no B+, as a result of no AC voltage coming out to the wires that attach to the rectifier.
Any help appreciated. I think I could use another transformer just for the B+ voltage, so perhaps I don't need the exact replacement for the existing transformer? Thanks,

Hi Noah,

Yes, you're right, another transformer just for the B+ voltage should be okay. I don't think the open winding would cause any problems. The B+ marked in the schematic is 274V 116mA.

Here are the heater requirements, should you want to replace the transformer, as a whole.

6.3 V ~ (with an earthing centre tap) 0.6A for 2 ECC83 tubes.

6.3V ~ 3.635A for the rest of the tubes.

Regards,

Nandu.
