I have a Victor co of Japan All wave 2band Transistor Radio model 7TA-1. I really do not know much about it. I can not seem to find any info on it on the internet anywhere.

it's not uncommon to see different variations of a certain model radio

This one is a later model branded NIVICO 7TA-4 (1961)

https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/jvc_nivic ... 7ta_4.html

I'm sure someone else here will chime in with more info.

I couldn't find "Victor" or "Nivico" in my 1996 Bunis guide, but I did find Hi Delity with that model number.
The value, in VG condition at that time was estimated at $75-$95. Most likely about the same today.

I have seen the 7TA-1 in both Hi-Delity and Victor designations.

The earlier ones actually have Sony oval transistors and make them quite desirable.

I think the 7TA-1 is a follow on or at least a sister radio to the TA-2750.

Both seem to use the old cylindrical 9V battery with the separate connectors unless yours has been converted.

You can see both on my flickr feed at.

Very nice Angela, looks to be in very good condition.

if it was me, I would most likely hang on to it for many years to come, the value of this radio will keep going up.

I have a Victor 8TA-1, but certainly would like to one day own a 7TA-1! The Victor 8TA-1 has the later Sony round transistors. - Mark

Angela - Your Victor 7TA-1 has two of the early Sony oval gray transistors. I have a Hi Delity Model TS-650 6 transistor radio that was manufactured by Victor and also uses 6 Sony oval transistors, although they printed "NVC" on the top of the transistors. As it has been mentioned previously, collectors value radios that have the oval Sony transistors as Sony manufactured their own transistors. - Mark

angela7123 that's a beautiful radio. It is definitely a keeper.

And Greg the Egg...I don't think my virus protection software is strong enough to browse around such Japanese websites. WHERE do you find these websites?
