Thanks for posting this information about the DC-7700 12 volt conversion kit. I have a FRG-7700 but it does not have this conversion kit installed. Since the kits are not available anymore, has anyone done the conversion with over the counter parts and have the instructions and part numbers to do this mod? Thanks in advance.

What you need to know is there, just buy a suitable plug and socket, find pos & neg on the PCB and do the connections, make sure that you connect the right way to your 12v power supply!

You might want to include a silicon diode internally in series with the 12 volt feed to prevent a mispolarized mistake.

The "DC Jack Assembly" is not an over the counter part that is available I suppose. What 12V plug would you recommend using that would fit the 7700 rear chassis?

Now I am on the search for the 2-pin socket connector (P40) in the schematic. Any idea how to go about determining what I need to look for?
