I was given a Hallicarfters S-120 radio early summer and was looking at the schematic because someone removed the R20 Globar and put a 150 ohm 10w ceramic resistor in its place. I have to recap the radio, get some tubes anyway. Does anyone know where I can get the R20 part or know what is used in its place?

The correct part is unobtainable, unless someone somewhere happens to have a NOS one from back in the day. That resistor is a reasonable replacement, and there are also other options including using a dropping capacitor, or a diode.

I have read in other forums about using a CL-90 Thermistor to replace the R20. Not to sure what will be the right choice?
