I have inherited a pair of National Panasonic RJ-10 8 transistor transceivers. They are in beautiful condition with soft leather cases. I have no knowledge of radios and I can only find one reference online so I assume they are reasonably rare. I believe they are 1960s ish manufactured.

Id like to learn a bit about them as they are rather lovely and work well. Essentially I want to know if they are rare and expensive and so should be looked after carefully or given to children to muck around with. I would post photos but cant work it out.

Thanks in advance!

It's a license free walkie talkie on 27MHz. Most of those were pretty generic. People collect them, but my impression is it's as they find them, rather than seeking specific models.

8 transistors, so it might be somewhat better than average, unkess tge extra transistors are for decoration.

Just because people are trying to sell them doesn't mean they have value.
