Hi all.
Own a couple of Kenwood transceivers. TS 850, TS 870, TS 940 & a now a TS950SD.. I've owned this for less than 1 week and just getting to know its quirks etc.
Apart from the 870, I can set my ALC for FM transmission. The 870 is automatically controlled by the radio, so no problems there.
The 950 manual goes through the ALC settings for ssb/am use etc, but I can't find anything for FM transmit...it does say to set your meter to the ALC setting, but doesn't say why, or how to alter the input. I've tried the mic gain, and the car in the top lift up section on top of the radio with no results... my ALC meter goes full scale, in orange ..is the 950 automatically set by the radio, or am I missing something.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated..
