Just came by this speaker. Cabinet needs a complete glue job, falling apart. This allowed removal of the speaker itself. Can't figure out how the thing is supposed to be installed in a solid cabinet. The control shaft on the rear protrudes too far to permit installation. The picture on RMOrg shows one without the control.

Any ideas or information appreciated.

Found these photos on Google. I have one with out the cabinet. It has bad pot metal and a weak magnet.

Thanks Gordon. That looks just like this one. This one also has some cracking in the pot metal frame. Flashlight battery does produce scratching in the speaker. This is really more of a puzzle than a project.

Mine does work but with the weak magnet I can only get very low volume. It looks like you put the speaker in and then reassemble the cabinet.

even though this was 9 years ago, for anyone wondering, at the end of the shaft sticking out of the driver there is a screw that comes out, this removes the shaft, allowing you to disassemble or reassemble the cabinet
