I am restoring a Radiola III and would like to convert to UX-199 tubes. I understand RCA issued Service Bulletin #6 (Dec. 11, 1925) showing how to convert the Radiolas III and III-A to UX199 and UX120 tubes. Does any one where I can find a copy of the bulletin or tell me how to convert to the UX-199? I plan to make an adapter to plug the tube in but the voltage and current requirements of the WD-II are; 1.1V and .25A, the UX-99 are; 3.3V and .06A. How do I compensate for the difference?
Ed

You will either have to change tube sockets or make tube adapters to change the radio from WD-11's to 199's. A tube manual will supply you with all the information you need to make the change. I have built both adapters to allow me to test WD-11's in my Hickok and adapters to use another 1V tube in place of a WD-11 in a Radiola III.
