I am in the process of restoring a Tower Pirate Ship speaker. I have everything except a driver. I have been told that the RCA 100A driver is the way to go but must be modified to work. Something about running the drive pin out the other side (turning it 180 degrees?) and extending it with some modifications to the mechanism. I understand the extending part but why the need to reverse it. Can't the driver just be flipped over and the pin extended? I don't see why this won't work. I have another speaker that has the modified 100A driver so I have an example to work from. Any one here knowledgeable on this? Hopefully not a confusing question. Thanks.
