Jay, there might have been one. The schematic is a snapshot of one of many variations (now eight years ago), and that Space Spanner is now a very different receiver (pentode detector to begin with, and an extra SW band). I was attempting to keep it transformless yet humfree and quiet. I eventually gave up and went to a proper PS with a transformer and diode bridge. One point: my line in is only 100VAC, and it doesn't surge above that, not as harsh as the 120~125VAC common in the US today. BTW, regens and simple superhets work fine at the lower voltage. Even better when you consider how much cooler the PS transformers and tubes run.
