This will probably be an easy one for you guys that service a lot of car radios.

The radio is a Delco 7289373, a basic AM set out of a mid-60's Oldsmobile.

The broken dial lamp that was in it was a 1893. Is this correct lamp type for these radios?
Thanks.

Yes. It's a 14V, 5W, bayonet-type lamp. Should be a great choice for a car radio, where the nominal 12V
power bus typically runs around 13.5V with the engine running.

Most car 12v radios used either 1891(.24A @ 2CP) or 1893(.33A @ 2CP). I believe the 1893 is considered a heavy duty bulb.

Thanks, Guys.
I have a box of 1893 lamps on the way.

1893 is the correct lamp per the Delco parts list for 7289373
