The radio above has new tubes and filter caps have been replaced.

The set plays for one minute then starts buzzing but not a filter hum.

I will try to give a link to my youtube video so someone can listen to it.

Many thanks

You have a ton of old paper capacitors (the green solar capacitors are also paper). Any of those could be breaking down and causing the buzz. Very likely one on the audio section is doing it.

Please replace them before one shorts and takes out something not easily replaced!

I usually install the yellow axial film capacitors 650v across the board for paper cap replacement. You can check them out at Sals Capacitor Corner see ad on this page to right. Just put a list together of the values needed and check actual cap with schematic to be sure.

Ceramics if you have them in the correct values are OK as well.

If all new caps does not cure the noise, look for a carbon comp resistor that is arcing inside when it gets warm. Another cause can be a tube on its way out.
Sometimes you can find a hot component with a laser thermometer.
But the first step is to replace all rolled paper caps, eliminates the most common cause of trouble.

Thank you. I'm working on replacing the paper caps now and the laser temp is a great suggestion. Thanks
