I picked up a pair of these Double Talk wireless intercoms, neither of which presently work (no power light illuminated or sound when plugged in with my dim bulb tester). I have been unable to find a schematic, so if anyone can locate one and send me the link, I would appreciate it.

I opened up one of them and discovered a couple of things I would like advice upon: I assume the various grey capacitors (some are marked JCP-A or JCP-TNN) should be replaced. All of the resistors are pretty close to indicated values. I also noticed two things which I have no idea what they are (see pictures). One looks like a tiny coil (black with small wires wrapped around the center white part; the wires appear to be broken), and the silver "duct" that runs along the side. It is separated at the one end.

Appreciate your inputs.

Karl

The "silver duct" appears to be the guts that have blown out of the 0.05uf cap.

The white tube with the coil of wire looks like a fried wirewound resistor.

Thank you, both observations make sense. Now I just have to figure out the value of that resistor and what would be a suitable replacement...a schematic would certainly make that easier!
