I've got a old dynamic speaker I'm about to recone and I need to know what I can use to remove whatever kind of cement is left on the voice coil.
The speaker was missing the cone I didn't do that.
this voice coil is pretty delicate and I don't want to just use anything on it, so maybe somebody could tell me what solvent i could use.
Its off an old 1939 Belmont 6.5" dynamic speaker. See pic for detail.
Thanks

Acetone works well on speaker cement.
You will probably have to reapply small amounts to keep the area wetted while the old cement is softening.
