 Post subject: Handle for a Temple G418

Looking to replace the handle on this Temple G418. As you can see in the picture, the existing handle is split in the middle. I have thought about some sort of vinyl webbing material, and will continue to research that avenue, but wondered if any of you have any insights or ideas on this. The existing handle is a straight piece with two small holes at each end. A small wire was inserted through the holes to keep the handle from pulling out of the slots on the cabinet. There are no fasteners of any kind within the cabinet.
