I posted a few days ago about the disaster of bubbling veneer. I had never had this happen but it was also my first try at re-skinning an entire cathedral cabinet. It took me 2 days and a gallon of vinegar but I got all the old glue off and I'm ready to try again. As I said before, I always applied glue twice to each piece- the cabinet and the veneer. I let it dry completely between applications and then fit it up and iron it on. Never had a problem before but then again I always worked on flat surfaces that could be clamped down overnight. I can't do that with a cathedral cabinet. So how do we do this? What is the best method for applying a complete veneer skin?
