Before and after pictures of the Emerson AH170. Added the missing knob and replaced the dial cover. The first picture was from the seller's ad.
For those who are wondering about the treatment, I start with white (no grit) Gojo hand cleaner. I use a toothbrush to get in the crevices. I wipe it off with a soft rag. The I apply Howards Restore-a-Finish walnut with #0000 steel wool and a toothbrush. I wipe that off and apply Gojo again. Then dry with an old t-shirt or soft cotton hand towel.

Wow, that's nice.
What about that damaged veneer on the right hand strip? Or is it faux veneer? It is barely noticeable now.

It's all veneer. The inlay part has raised a bit and if it were refinished, that would be sanded and filled. I'm not planning on refinishing unless I could get Fred Taylor to do it.

Beautiful Emerson!! I too, am a fan of the “treatment”, but when you said you go over the Howard’s again with another dose of GoJo, you lost me there. I usually GoJo, wipe it off and then let that dry and then use the Howard’s, wipe it off and then I’m done.

Is there an advantage to Howard’s over Old English?

I don't know about chemical composition. For me Howards worked better and I stayed with it.
