i have a trashed Hammarlund NC-183 that I need to re-paint. I need to strip off old paint but I do not want to mess up the original paper manufacturers labels on the bottom and back panel. How do you protect them during this process? I was planning to cover in plastic, tape the plastic down, and proceed with stripping and AT THE END remove plastic and apply stripper with Q-tip to "feather" away old finish?

Any better ideas?
