Nice Admiral was brought in for refinish. Nice lookin radio, this has photo finish along the bottom. I will show you guys how I replace that fake wood grain. I don't like fake news and I don't like fake wood. But I will put on the modern photo finish decal. Stay tuned to this channel for updates on this family air loom.

That is incredible, Fred. I'm trying to figure out what you did.

First you stripped, sanded, and grain-filled the cabinet. You bought the photofinish from someone (who?) in sheets and cut it into strips of the right size. Is it self-adhesive, sticky on the back?

You sprayed the top side (the visible side) of the photofinish with the adhesion promoter so that lacquer will stick to it better. Then you peeled the backing off the photofinish and stuck it onto the radio cabinet. Trimmed it and smoothed it. Then you toned and lacquered the whole cabinet, including the photofinish.

It's that the process?

That's right Rodney on what you said, I bought the (fake ) like some of the news on TV ,wood grain vinyl on eBay comes in many deferent patterns . To me its like modern day photo finish, It,s easy to work with once you get the hang of it . I don't know the longevity of it though, im sure it will last quite some time.
