Hello friends. I am getting ready to refinish a Philco model 90. It has not arrived to me yet but I want to have the proper materials on hand when it does. I want to keep the stain color as close to original as possible. does anybody know what this color is called or something close?

I would also like to give t a good shine. I know that is not original but would look great on it. Any recommendations on that as well?

This will be my first refinishing job and I want to do it right. Thank you all for any advice. I have tried every way I know how to add pictures of my actual radio to this to this posting but I just keep seeing messages that the file is too big or

The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 800 pixels wide and 800 pixels high. The submitted image is 1080 pixels wide and 2220 pixels high so I will add a picture I have found that match my color on the internet and hope it works. Thank you. Jonathan

I don't think I would refinish that. Try "Restore a Finish" first.
It has a nice patina as it is. Just my opinion. They never seem to look right to me refinished.

+1 I would that alone and freshen the finish with Howard’s... Takes 75+ years to create that look...

That's not the OP's radio, it's from here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=188857&start=0

I think the OP mentioned that he was having problems uploading his own photos, so he used ones of another 90 from online.

To the OP:
To resize your picture, go to picresize.com. Then, select the image that you want to resize. Select fit to screen 800 resolution for size, and in the optional file size on the bottom of the page, select 256kb. Once you resize the picture, save it to your computer, and post it here. Good luck!
