Hey guys. I’m having a tuff time trying to figure out how to clean the dirty face on this Guild 484.
I cleaned the backside with brasso and it took off the finish. I also tried it on the front corner where it’s not visible on the radio and the same thing happened. I’ve tried warm water & soap and nothing came off. If any of you accomplished this mission, can you give me some pointers on what to do. Thanx.

Those spots look like paint splatters which may prove difficult to remove without taking the finish off. Might try some mineral spirits on the back side to see what if any reaction it has to the finish. If none then try it on the splatters to see if that will soften them up for easier removal. For the rest have you tried something like Simple Green?

Thanx Jim.
No I haven’t tried anything but soap n water and brasso.
I’ll try simple green. I’m will to try anything.
She’s my Shop Radio now since She performs so well.
She doesn’t have to be pretty I guess but I’d like to at least try.
